Hello one and all and welcome to my news page. Here you can see me as my two alter egos the ever efficient secretary
Prudie Jones, Evette the Spivette and plain old little me as you catch up with all that is current in my world. Regrettably
unlike Prudie my spelling is quite frightful at the best of times due to my dyslexia so I shall apologise now for anything
which might be shamefully mis-spelt. In the mean time I hope you find this page fun, entertaining and informative and become
a regular visitor to my site.

Twenty six shows done so far this month and tomorrow I’m off to Nuneaton with two shows to do and then can we belve it it’s Christmas. Although I’ve been doing Christmas shows all month it doesn’t feel like Christmas some how. I really don’t know where this year has gone to. I’ve already sold over 120 shows for next year and a few events have already booked me for 2014. I was having a count up and I think I will have done 243 shows by the time this year is out so I’m really looking forward to taking a holiday in January. Next year is going to be a very intresting year as I’m seeing my customer base change slightly as more of you are finding me through my web-site which is good news. I hate to say it but I think the 40s circit is getting somewhat tired and I’m looking forward to developing some new idars where I can be a little more creative musicaly and meet more like minded exciting, talented people. I do love the 40s and the Heritage circut but I don’t want to type cast myself as there is much I can do and I’m looking forward to spreading my wings a little further – so watch this space! I have lots of plans for my web-site and more pages will be added next year along with some new show reels. I have just seen the previews for my fashion page and we hope to have the page up loaded to the sight by mid day Christmas Eve so do keep watching. I’m very pleased with my design and it’s great to see all the photos in place. All those photo shoots have really paid off! Once again this weekend has been a really busy one and Saturday night I was at a fancy dress party. I got the call at 4.20pm. I had just got off stage and my friend Mike wondered if I was free. Well I can through a fancy dress together quicker than most being a costume artist and all. The theme was Film and TV so Mike went as Lilly Savage and I as Victor Victoria in my top hat and tails. Such Fun! Well everyone all that’s left for me to do is to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank-you for following me Toodle Pip and enjoy this wonderful festive season. I hope to make it back in time for Mid Night Mass tomorrow as that really makes Christmas for me. Merry Christmas! xx

I’m sorry I’m a bit late with my blog as I do like to up date every other day but with the Christmas season I have been very busy and last night I was straight to bed after my two shows. Sometimes all I need is sleep so I’ve been trying to catch up today with e-mails and contracts between shows. I’m out bright and early tomorrow with 2 shows again and then it’s nearly Christmas – hasn’t this year gone quickly! I’m pleased to say that despite the Christmas post I recived my seamed stockings today from that wonderful company What Katie Did. I noticed the other day that my stockings were getting a little worse for wear and when I’m trying to get dressed in the morning Tigger loves to tab them and play with my suspender belt. It’s no wonder I’ve got scratches all over my bottom as he loves to play with the dangly bits! So time for new I thought! If you like vintage style underwear then do check out their web-site www.whatkatiedid.com I really recomend them and quite frankly I think they make the best suspender belts going. They really are the best on the market unlike the ones you see in the shops – feeble and don’t hold! Mind you a year or so ago I thought I would try and wear stockings the oringinal way with garters in my quest for authenisity! How they managed in the 18th century I really don’t know as stockings don’t hold without a suspender belt and as for modern hold ups well I wouldn’t touch those with a 10 foot barge pole. I thought I would be really clever and make my own garters only I made them in satin where I should have used a cotton backed statin ribbon like a ballet shoe ribbon. Ballet ribbon holds and doesn’t slide because of the cotton back but then it’s not until you try these things out that you learn if they work or not. I was at an event the other day and one chap was making reference but clearly didn’t know the difference so here we go. Stockings are the long shapely tubes which cover the legs and are usely made in nylon or silk, where garters are the prity bands which are worn around the thigh to keep the stockings in place. Well that’s me done for tonight as I’m back on the road tomorrow with shows in Marlow and Slough. Thanks for following and Toodle Pip for Now!

It’s late so just a very quick blog tonight. It’s been a busy weekend one way and another as my Sunday show got re-sheduled to Saturday and by luck I was able to squeeze them in. It left me a clear day which at this time of year is un heared of so I met up with David for tea as I felt he never really got his closer. It was good to talk over a few things as hind sight is a wonderful thing but then I do understand it’s not easy for a man to be with someone like me. You have to understand showbiz and unless you are from that world it’s hard. Some men want you all to them selves which is imposible in my case. I’m an entertainer and I exspress myself through the arts. I belong to the audiance and that’s hard for men to deal with! Tomorrow I’m in St Albans and then it’s 2 shows daily most days up to Christmas. I’ve been trying to get the rest of my Christmas cards done – so Merry Christmas everyone anyway as it looks like I might fail in that task. Bed now I think, thanks for following and Toodle Pip!

It’s been a busy couple of days one way and another with my “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree” Shows and yesterday evening I was performing over in Bedford for the WI. For those of you who don’t know the WI is the “Womens Instistute” the most wonderful organisation and to whom I owe a lot because that’s how I started out. I first started putting together my own shows when I was 19 having come from the Am Dram scene. From there I went on and became a Red Coat which gave me a way onto the professional stage and my WI bookings helped me to earned my Equity card. So I owe the WI alot. I always enjoy performing for them and I’ve just recived a lovely e-mail thanking me for last nights performance which was really my pleasure. Thank-you for inviting me! Today I have been over in Oxfordshire performing in Didcot which was a bit of an early one as I had to be on stage for 10.30am and this afternoon I was singing in Aylesbury. Tomorrow I’m in Berkhamsted so It’s all go and no let up but then that’s the way I like it. Fingers crossed it continues into next year. I’ve been able to sell over 90 dates so far but the entertainment busness is a fickle game – you can be in favour one moment and out the next so I never like to count my chickens! It seems my green dress has been a real hit this season! However I came off stage the other day only to realise I had done my whole show with my pettiecoat caught in my knickers. How on earth did I manage that? You would have thought someone would have told me! Well I must dash now as I have loads of Christmas Cards to do and as ever I’m failing. Thanks for following and Toodle Pip for Now!
