Hello one and all and welcome to my news page. Here you can see me as my two alter egos the ever efficient secretary
Prudie Jones, Evette the Spivette and plain old little me as you catch up with all that is current in my world. Regrettably
unlike Prudie my spelling is quite frightful at the best of times due to my dyslexia so I shall apologise now for anything
which might be shamefully mis-spelt. In the mean time I hope you find this page fun, entertaining and informative and become
a regular visitor to my site.

Hello every-one I’m so sorry I’ve not blogged for a few days. It had been my intention to do so last night but to be honest I was so tired after my show I had to go straight to bed! I have been pushing myself really hard. The final count up of shows for 2012 came to 242. Not bad going when you consider I’m doing everything myself and I no longer have management. So a big thank-you to every-one who booked me in 2012 and for those of you who have re-booked for 2013 don’t worry your contracts are on there way. I just haven’t had time to sit down and do them all yet. I’m still doing new year shows with two more to do tomorrow – then I promise to sit down and catch up with my paper work! Sometimes I hate to admit I am human! I want to do so much and I have so many plans for the future. Next week I’m making a couple of videos for You Tube and I’ve arranged to be filmed at my local church of All Saints in Leighton Buzzard. All Saints dates from 1200 and something and I think has the 3 tallest spire in England. I’m always popping into the coffee shop after I’ve been to the gym for lunch. My favourite is the home made tea bread Yummy! On Tuesday I’m going back to my classical roots and singing Ave Maria by the high alter. I’m also going to be recording my Christmas video for 2013 but if you want to know about that you will have to wait untill next Christmas. I know it seems strange doing Christmas videos in Jan but I ‘m always so busy in October and November that I wanted be able to fit filming in as well. The church is looking very pritty at the moment as they keep it dressed for Epiphany on the 6th and right through to Candle Mass on the 2nd Feb so now is the perfect time. Today I was performing over in High Wycombe for the Knights of St Columba and once again I found myself singing in church. On my way back I popped into Princess Risborough and treated myself to two pairs of beautiful shoes in Wainwrights. How naughty is that! One pair I can wear with trousers and are very practical and the other pair are grey and black paintant leather – Ever-so Spivettetish! They had them in brown too but I thought “Wants and Needs you have a film to make Miss Harrison” So I left the brown ones – I do love them though! Well that’s about all my news for now do keep following and I hope to have my Wales at War video up-loaded to You Tube by next Friday – so do keep Watching! Toodle Pip and Bye for Now!

Happy New Year one and all. I’m so sorry I’ve not blogged for a few days but I’ve been on the road since the 30th with the run up to new year and all – and I’ve only just this minute walked through the door. I can’t belive how much Tigger has grown in the last few days he is becoming a real Tom cat. The birds wont stand a chance come the Spring! Well it’s been a fantastic couple of days. My first port of call was Middlewich as I was invited to perform at The Manor with my Christmas /New Year Show. What a wonderful welcome I recived and a big thankyou to Carol who invited me into her home and offered me such supurb hospitality. I hope very much to have the pleasure of entertaining for you all again in the future and I hope your show went well too Carol! This New Year I was performing up at Carnforth Station which every film buff will know was the station used in the film Brief Encounter. This year I was booked to do my “Evette the Spivette” show and for the second half I came back as “Burlesque Evette” which went down really well. For New Year I made a few changes which has given me some fresh idears for the show. Evette has huge petental so watch this space! What was lovely to hear was just how well my show went down with the audence. One couple said they really enjoyed last year but enjoyed Evette the Spivette even more this year! Which is really encouraging! Ofcourse it’s wonderful when The Orient Express pulls in and we all get to sing “Auld Lang Syne” with the Scotish pipper under the famous clock! How perfect is that. The only disapointing thing was Andrew not being there due to his “Man Flue” Get well soon Andrew – Helen and all the staff at the Refreshment Rooms really did you proud! On the 1st I made my way over to North Wales and Conwy. I had an apointment to see Hefin a film maker I had had the pleasure of working with back in August when I was performing at the “Wales at War” event. This was the first opertunity I had had to sit down with Hefin to edit it and I’m pleased with what we’ve been able to put together. I shall be up loading the video to You Tube in the next week or so. You will be able to see clips of me performing my WAAF and “Hooray for Hollywood” shows and also as Evette the Spivette – she is proving to be quite the hit! I’m not sure if it’s me or the shoes – all the ladies love my Evette shoes! The only down side about being on the road on new years day is finding somewhere to eat. Tesco were shut but I managed to get the last sandwich from their petrol station but come the evening the only place I could find in Conwy was a Pizza Kabab take away and Yes I was despret! That’s the thing about being a diabetic you have to eat and when it came to it I hated every mouthful. Thank-goodness for breakfast. I stayed at the Glan Heulog Guest House who looked after me very well. Although when I saw how steep their drive was I do confess it did frightened me a little. But I just droped Connie into first gear put my foot down and thought “He who Dears Wins”! Tomorrow I’m back in the recording studio picking up my new track of “Hands Knees and Boomps a Daisy” so an early start. Thanks for following and do Keep Watching. I shall let you know when we get the”Wales at War” show reel up. Toodle Pip and Bye for Now!

Today I just thought enough was enough! All this month I have being going to bed with a pair of knickers on my head in order to preserve my hair and well I just couldn’t take any more. I had to let my hair down today so I wore it long with a head band just like Alice. Mind you there was a fair amount of back combing still in it so I probably looked more like Mad Margaret from Rudygore than Alice! The things I do for my Art! Christmas is a time where I have to look especialy glamorous and make a little more effort than usal but don’t worry I shall be back in the hair dresses tomorrow in prep for New Years Eve! So we wont need to call the hair police quite yet! What I need is a stiff combe through ouch! Today I have been out and about performing in Wendover (I love that town – nice shops!) with two shows back to back. I treated myself to a pub lunch and I found myself doodaling down some idars. I’ve lots of plans for the future and being a creative person I can’t wait to put them into pratice. I watched Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland film the other day and I was rather inspired by Alice’s dress – that’s the one she wore before she fell down the rabbit hole. Needless to say I jotted down the design. I also liked the girls costume in Dr Who another design I had to jot down as I’m finding myself very attracted to Victorian fashion at the mo. I could really do with a bustle. In the next day or two I hope to make it down to the recording studio to pick up my new track of Hands Knees and Boops a Daisy. If you know the song you will understand why I need a bustle! In the mean time I must pack my bags and prep my show for New Years Eve. This year I have been engaged to do my Evette the Spivette show but I want to make a few changes so it will suit the venue and that particular night. Oh well must dash I need to get an early night. Thanks for following and Toodle Pip!

With Christmas I have been out a fair bit – and I’m pleased to say I made it back from Nuneaton in time for Mid-night Mass. I went up to Hockliffe Church which is very old and sits on a small hill. There is not a single straight grave stone in the yard due to their age and it’s one of those churches where you need to take a toruch with you in order to find your way along the path to the door. I love seeing churches at night as it is the best and only way to enjoy the stain glass and belive me Hockliffe Church has some beautiful stain glass windows. It’s really magical on Christmas Eve and a very special time – I’m so pleased I made it! I was at home on Christmas day which is probable the only day of the year we all get to sit down as a family. Needless to say Tigger was keen to get in on the act. We did feel mean making him go out side but he is so full of bonce like his name sake and having a rascley kitten about when you are tring to eat Turkey isn’t a good idar! I was back to work today as I had a show in Much Hadnam. Tomorrow I’m singing in Amersham and then on Friday I have two shows to do in Wendover. I head off up North on the 30th with a show in Middlewich, Cheshire and then onto Carnforth for New Years Eve. So it’s going to be a busy time. My shows continue right through untill the 6th Jan and then I have a few days off before I’m working again with shows booked in for the following weekend. Oh before I forget – my new fashion page with all the up -dates is now up and live on my web-site so if you get the chance do take a look. There are a few tweaks I’ve noticed but I’m very pleased with my design and it’s lovely to see all the photos in place. I have alot of plans for my web-site and all the photo shoots I’ve done this year have really payed off. A photo can tell a thousand words! We’ll bed time I think – thanks for following – Seasons Greetings to you all and Toodle Pip!
