Hello one and all and welcome to my news page. Here you can see me as my two alter egos the ever efficient secretary
Prudie Jones, Evette the Spivette and plain old little me as you catch up with all that is current in my world. Regrettably
unlike Prudie my spelling is quite frightful at the best of times due to my dyslexia so I shall apologise now for anything
which might be shamefully mis-spelt. In the mean time I hope you find this page fun, entertaining and informative and become
a regular visitor to my site.

Today is the 21st October and of course if you are from a nautical family as I am you will know what that means – Trafalgar Day! So perhaps it wont come as any surprise to learn that I have been out and about in Wendover performing my WRNS show “The Fleets in Port Again”. Although the fact I was booked to do a Wrens show in Wendover probably will come as a surprise particularly as the town is next to RAF Halton! Today I’ve been singing all sorts from “All the Nice Girls Love a Sailor”, “Anchors Aweigh” to “Hearts of Oak”. For Thursday I’m back to Hollywood as I sing from the movies and then I’m booked to do Big Band and Swing on Saturday. Must Dash for now as I’ve loads of paper work to get through and I need to finish of my designs for another new page I have planed for my web-site – but more of that later. Thanks for following and Toodle Pip!

Since returning from Bath this week I’ve been enjoying sitting down with my mother and watching Pride and Prejudice all over again while having tea. Out of all the different Pride and Prejudices there have ever been I still say Jennifer Ehle as Elizabeth Bennet and Colin Firth as Mr Darcy were perfectly cast and it’s hardly surprising that this adaptation made for one of the most watched programmes in British broadcasting history. It’s been wonderful to sit down and watch it all again particularly as I recognise so many of the film locations and Jane Austen is such a guineas. Ladies be warned – in life we must protect our-selves against would be Wickhams! Or another way of putting it is you sometimes have to kiss a few frogs before you find your prince! These days I lead such a busy life that I get to watch so little TV although when I do it has to be good and I can’t resist a period drama. I’m all set for the return of The Paradise tonight on BBC 1 and then we can all turn over at 9pm for Downton Abbey. What could be nicer! I wonder what beautiful costumes will be on show in The Paradise tonight – I do love Victorian fashion and the leading man isn’t bad looking either! Like I say I’m still in the market for a bustle only I haven’t found the right silk yet – but I know what I want and when I do I shall snap it up! Many thanks for all your feed back on my new 1920s and 30s page on my web-site. I’m so pleased you like it and thank-you for your comments. When it came to photos I was spoilt for choice. There are a few tweaks which need to be made like swapping the word veracious for vivacious when you are dyslexic it is so easy to get these things wrong but I’m sure you will agree these words have totally different meanings and I mean the later and not the forma. Tomorrow is Trafalgar Day being the 21st Oct so I’m all set to perform my Wrens “The Fleet’s in Port Again” show and then I have lots of Magic of the Musicals and Hollywood shows to do this week with a Big Band and Swing show booked on Saturday. I shall sign off now as I want to get settled for The Paradise at 8pm. Thanks for following and Toodle Pip for Now!

I’m really thrilled to announce that my new 1920s and 30s page is now up and running on my web-site so if you get the chance do take a look. You can see me looking ever-so Downton Abbeyish at Earsham Hall thanks to the family and photographer Angela Adams. Me being me I still have a few little tweaks to make but Rachel has done me proud and it’s really thrilling to see all your hard work take shape after so much preparation. A lot of work has gone into this page planning the photo shoots and I’ve worked with some fantastic photographers in it’s creation. Dave and Bee Jackson who photographed me at Sywell Aerodrome and at Shuttleworth thanks to the museum and Lewis Brockway who photographed me at the Kent and East Sussex Railway. It’s taken years to get this collection of photos together so I hope you enjoy looking at the result! Do check out my new 1920s and 30s page at www.fionaharrison.biz Today I have been catching up on paper work and I’m back on the road for the weekend with a run of “Hooray for Hollywood” shows so much to do and play lists to type. That’s about all my news for now as I move into the season for private functions. Dates are selling well for next year and lots of bright opportunities on the horizon for 2014/ 15 so keep watching! Toodle Pip and Bye for Now!

Hello every-one I’m just back from performing at The Queens Hotel in Bournmouth for Saga Holidays. I know the Queens Hotel really well from performing at many a Masonic function back in the late 90s and early 00s. It was great to see pianist Carol Wells and Soprano Lynda again as this was Saga’s second 1940s holiday I had had the pleasure of singing for – so I do hope I have the opportunity of working for Saga again as the people you meet on these holidays are so lovely. On this occasion I had booked my friend and sound engineer Kim to work with me. Only we get more like Hinge and Bracket with every day that goes by. Just in case you are wondering she’s the Hinge and I’m the Bracket and we do hang rather well together! We have the same sense of humour ever-so slightly warped! It’s been a lovely couple of days as we were booked to do two shows one British ATS “We’ll Meet Again” plus my American “Stars and Stripes” Show. I even through in O Mio Babbino Caro – Oh My Beloved Father for all the Joan Hammond fans as Saga Holiday makers just love Puccini. But then what’s not to like – Puccini is wonderful! I also had the lovely surprise of meeting up with some of my old friends from my Am Dram days when I was a member of the Vale Gilbert and Sullivan Society in Tring back in the late 80s and early 90s. We did some good shows and I can remember playing Mable in The Pirates of Penzance, Casilda in The Gondoliers and Gigi – Happy Days! I was also thrilled to see my friend Sandra who very kindly brought me some flowers for my Birthday and Carol very kindly sang Happy Birthday to me which was lovely as it’s usually me who does that sort of thing for others. Tomorrow I’m catching up on paper work as I’ve so much to do and then I have a couple of “Hooray for Hollywood” shows for the weekend. I hope it wont be long now before you get to see my new 1920s and 30s page soon to go up on my web-site so keep watching and I shall keep you posted! Thank-you for following and Toodle Pip
