Hello every-one sorry I’ve not been able to blog the last couple of days but to be honest I’ve just been so busy performing – getting everything ready for the next 2 weeks and the Jubilee D-Day run. I’ve been chained to my desk all day doing show plans and play lists. I’ve had 14 shows to plan and costumes to organise – lots of washing to sort out and yes this white dress was one of them. I had this dress made back in 1990 when I played Elize Doolittle and the best thing about it is I can just throw it straight into the washing machine and it always comes out as good as new every time. I chose my fabrics very carefuly and it doesn’t even need ironing. Brillant! I’m sure I can get another 20 years out of that costume even though I am now on hat number three! The last two didn’t quite stand up to the wear and tair of the Edwardian buffet cruse I use to do on Lake Windermere – going back years!
This morning I was pleased I was able to grab some time to go jogging as I’ve been working hard on toning up my body. My iner-thighs still need work but I’m getting there and the jogging is really helping. I work-out at least 4-5 times a week mixing the excersise I do with dance, gym and running and I have to say I’m now getting the body I always wanted. But then you only get out what you put in.
Yesturday I did 3 shows and tomorrow I will be heading to my home county of Yorkshire and the Staley home Carlton Towers with the start of my Jubilee run. It may be a while before I can blog again, but I shall do my best between shows and do keep watching! Toodle Pip!

Today I’ve been out for lunch with my friend Madie Brown – what a wonderful woman and didn’t we have a great girlie chat talking allsorts! It’s great to meet up with someone who does the same thing as myself and didn’t we have a laugh talking about men! I so wish I had a photo of the pair of us together – I know Madie took one on her phone so fingers crossed she has posted!
Afterwards I took Madie for a very brief tour around Leighton Buzzard and to our wonderful Vintage Fashion shop Ollie Vees.
I hope you like your new shoes and snood Madie I love Ollie Vees – I’m in there all the time. As you know I’ve got my eye on a pink dress so maybe when I come back from France I may treat myself
This evening we both had an apointment with Judi my dress maker and I’m looking forward to seeing you in your new dress when it’s made Madie.
Back to doing paper work tonight as I have many show plans to prepare for the next 3 weeks so busy busy!
Bye for now!

Hello everyone I’ve been out and about today down in Purfleet, Essex doing my “We’ll Meet Again” ATS show. Wow wasn’t it warn – I have to say I wasn’t quite ready for the sun although it was very nice to see.
As many of you know I have a very busy run ahead of me with the Jubilee and France and I need to get back in rehursals with my French songs all in prep for D-Day.
Tomorrow I hope to have a really good work out in the gym before meeting up with a freind for lunch. So I want to work up a really good appertite. There is nothing I like more than a good work out as it keeps me fit and strong. I may even try out some kick boxing I’ve never done it before but I quite fancy a go!
This weekend I have a couple of shows to do Music Hall, Pearly Queen and Musicals so a real mix bag and plenty of sing-along thrown in.
Thank-you to every one who has posted up photos from the weekend on my Face book page. What a great 1940s event that was too and thank-you for your comments. Keep Watching and Bye for now! ;->

Hi Everyone what a busy weekend it’s been I’ve only just been able to get back to my desk and I’ve been sent some great photos by Hugh Nightingale of the weekend. For those of you who have been following my blogs you will know that I was performing at Tenterden for the Kent and East Sussex Railway and what a fantastic event it was too!
This weekend was the launch of my new character Evette the Spivette and thank-you every-one for your great feedback. A lot of work has gone into the music and charcter and I’m looking forward to developing her further. I see great patential in Evette and I already have some supper bookings lined up for her this year and next.
Some Spivs hate compertion particuly when it’s a woman and dare I say it Evette might have ruffled a few feathers with one in particular. Not mentioning any names he thought it might be funny to try and hold me and get me hand cuffed. I wasn’t having that- I’m far too fit and fiesty! Needless to say he got alittle more than he bargined for and if he tries it on again he will end up in casulty! Be Warned – Don’t Do That Again! enough said!
Towmorrow I shall be down in Purfleet Essex and then I really start to get very busy with the run up to Jubilee, D-Day and France. Toodle Pip for now and thank-you Hugh for the photos. Do keep watching!
