Hello one and all and welcome to my news page. Here you can see me as my two alter egos the ever efficient secretary
Prudie Jones, Evette the Spivette and plain old little me as you catch up with all that is current in my world. Regrettably
unlike Prudie my spelling is quite frightful at the best of times due to my dyslexia so I shall apologise now for anything
which might be shamefully mis-spelt. In the mean time I hope you find this page fun, entertaining and informative and become
a regular visitor to my site.

It’s been a busy day today – I was up bright and early and straight into the hair dressers in prep for my shoot. I had booked a four hour secision and brought along 9 different costumes all of which I wanted to get photographed. As you can imagine it’s been a long day but from what I’ve seen so far a very fruitful one. Slowly but surely I’m tring to get my many costumes photographed so I can share them all with you and you can enjoy them too. All being well I hope to have the rushes through by late Sunday night so when they come through I shall post a few up for you to see. Tomorrow afternoon I’m performing my “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree” show in a village called Much Hadham near Wear and then Sunday I’m doing a radio interview. While I was performing in the Isle of Wight I met a gentleman by chance who broadcasts for the Luton and Dunstable hospital radio and as I only live a stones throw away we were able to arrange a date! I also hope to pop along to a 1940s event on Sunday and do some shopping. I’m in need of some new hats! Well that’s about it from me now – only to say I’ve seen a preview of my new Music Hall page and it’s really looking super thanks to my Web-designer. Thanks for dropping in! Oh yes before I forget my friend Maud has tought me a new phrase Toodily Pipsqeek! So that’s a good way to finnish! Bye for Now and Keep Watching!

These last few days I have been very busy sorting out costumes in prep for my glamour photo shoot on Friday, in between doing shows and working on my Web-site designs. Thank-you every-one for your great feed back on the new 1940s page design. Not long now before you will be able to see my Music Hall page and show reel from France so I will let you know when we are up and running. Tuesday I was playing in Edgware with my “Swinging 50s and 60s” show. It was great to meet up with my friend Maud and by the end I had people up dancing – but then it’s hard not to when it’s Chuck Berry and Elvis songs! Tomorrow I’m doing a Seaside show so lots of Music Hall and well quite a bit of all sorts now I come to think of it everything from” It’s Bitsy Tinny Weeny Yellow Poka Dot Bikini” to “There is Nothing like a Dame”. In the mean time I have quite a bit to sort out for Friday. I had a dress fitting on Monday and I still have quite a few evening gowns to come back for my final fitting on Thursday. I’m also working on the Burlesque version of Evette the Spivette which I’m having alot of fun with making sure I get her look just right. I can’t tell you how many costumes I tried on the other evening! Sometimes I surpise myself with just what I do have stashed away in my many trunks and wardrobes! Well that’s about it from me for now, do Keep Watching and I hope to have some new photos for you to see very soon. Toodle Pip and Bye for Now!

Hello everyone sorry I haven’t blogged for a while but I’ve been so busy and what with one thing and another I’ve had quite a week of it! Thursday I was down in Surrey meeting up with film maker Andrew. I had had the pleasure of working with him when I was out in France for D-Day so we spent the day putting the finnishing touches to my Arromanches show reel. I hope to have it up on You Tube very soon so do keep watching – in the mean time we will be adding it to my 1940s page on my web-site so I shall let you know once we get it embeded in. Friday was a bit of a busy day and it started off so well too. I was out bright and early jogging only to have a manacuire booked for 10am. Had lunch in town niped to Tesco only to stop at a pelican crossing on the way home and then had someone reverse into my passenger door. Poor Swifty! I love my car so much and I hate to see her hurt – we have been through so much together. So after all that I then had to dash over to Princess Risbough to do a “Hooray for Hollywood” show and then I drove down to Sandwich in Kent for a 1940s day in prep for Saturday! Saturday went really well, I had been a little worried about it as I wasn’t sure what size rig I would need so I took both my little kit and bigger speakers – quite how I got it all in my car I don’t know dispite the dent but I did! I’m a very deturmaned Woman when I put my mind to it! In the end I only needed my little kit which was fine. I also had the pleasure of working with a local engineer called Mat who was just fantastic. I was able to find him in the 11 hour having been let down by 2 other engineers at short notice so I hope very much to work with Mat again in the not too distant future- Thank-you ever-so Mat! I really enjoyed being in Sandwich for this weekend and I hope very much to return one day. While I was there I met up with friends and made lots of new ones – all credit to Jennifer Wilkie who arranged the event – So Well Done! Must dash now as I have much paper work to catch up with and I need to sort out my car. Toodle Pip and Bye for Now!

Just a quick blog today as I’ve been getting everything ready for the weekend. This Saturday I shall be performing in Sandwich for their 1940s day so I hope you can make it along. I will be on stage with my WAAF show at 11am then a slight change of plan with my “Stars and Stripes” show at 12.45pm finnishing off with Lindy Hop as I join forces with the Cinque Ports Lindy Hoppers so it should be a really good day. I had planed to do my Evette the Spivette show this weekend but the stage is a band stand with a promanard audience rather than a seated one. The Evette show tells a story so with the location I thought “Stars and Stripes” would work better as it’s real razamataz and more suited to a band stand! But don’t worry you will be able to see Evette at Sheringham on the 15th and 16th Sept and at Middlewich too on the 21st Sept. Do keep checking my blogs and facebook pages for the latest! I was down in the recording studio yesterday picking up my Berlington Bertie track which just sounds fantastic thanks to Richard. The words are so clever and I have to say Burlington Bertie has to be one of the best Music Hall songs ever writain, I can’t waite to do the number and indeed launch my trouser Music Hall set which will be up and running next year – more details can be found on my web-site when we get the Music Hall page up so do keep watching as it wont be long now! Tomorrow I’m down in Surrey meeting up with a film maker so I have lots of plans ahead. Thanks ever-so for dropping in and Bye for Now!
