Hello one and all and welcome to my news page. Here you can see me as my two alter egos the ever efficient secretary
Prudie Jones, Evette the Spivette and plain old little me as you catch up with all that is current in my world. Regrettably
unlike Prudie my spelling is quite frightful at the best of times due to my dyslexia so I shall apologise now for anything
which might be shamefully mis-spelt. In the mean time I hope you find this page fun, entertaining and informative and become
a regular visitor to my site.

It’s been a busy Bank Holiday and I confess after 9 shows I am feeling a little tied! However it’s been a great weekend and it was lovely to sing for every-one in Penmaenmawr.I think we had the best spot outside Betty’s cafe as Stefan and I didn’t have very far to go if we wanted a coffee! Although “Wales at War” is a very small event as 40s weekends go this one is like one big happy family and it was great to see so many friendly faces from the time before. We were also really lucky with the weather and we seem to have missed any big showers which might have been. A big thank-you to Vivienne who worked so hard to put this event on and every-one eles in Pen. Not forgetting Winston Churchill, Monty, The airman with the lovely Spitfire and DJ Woody. It was great working with you guys and I mustn’t forget the re-anacters and John Pool and Dillis either so thank-you! While I was at “Wales at War” I was able to pick up a mink hat from one of the stall holders. What a find and it matches my white mink coat perfectly! I was also able to wear my new spivvy tie I bought from when I was at Ramsey. I’m still working on my “Evette the Spivette” show as I haven’t got her to sit quite right yet but she is comming – and I do enjoy playing her very much! Evette will be joining me when I play Sheringham on the 15th and 16th Sept also at Middlewich on the 21st and Kew Bridge at the end of Sept too so do keep watching this space to find out what I’m up to. In the mean time I will be heading off to my web-designer tomorrow as we hope to have my new Music Hall page up on my web-site before long so fingers crossed it should be up tomorrow evening all being well. That’s about it from me for tonight thanks for dropping in and I will keep you posted with all that is new and current in my world. Thanks for dropping in and Toodle Pip!

Well I’m all pack and ready to go for the “Wales at War”event but if I’m honest I’m really worried about the car situation. I’m OK for this weekend as I only need my little rig but in a few weeks the situation will become critical. I must have something big enough for Sheringham as I need my full rig and quite frankly I don’t know what to do. When I come back from Wales I must start serching in ernest as I only have 3 days to sort the car problem out in and then I have shows every day right up to when I go away – so it’s a real worry for me! Why do I get the feeling I’m going to get ripped off and end up with something unrelieable! I can’t tell you how stressed I am at the moment. All because I couldn’t get insurance to drive my brothers van! When you are a diabetic and a singer no-one will insure you not if the use is different from the policy holder. I’m praying for a mirical! Please please please let me find something soon!

These last few days I have been chained to my desk working really hard on paper work and web designs. Now I can’t wait to head off to Wales for the “Wales at War” event taking place in Penmaenmawr this bank holiday and do my thing! It will be great to be back on the road again, I guess like all entertainers I’m just a gypsy at heart! This weekend I have 9 1940s shows to do from ATS to “Hooray for Hollywood”, Lindy Hop to “Evette the Spivette” so busy busy. If you want to know what I’m doing each day do check my face book page by clicking onto the star from my web-site and you can read all about it as they say in the news paper world! I confess sitting down for long periods does rather drive me mad as I much prefere to be up and about but I have at least been able to acheve alot this week even though it does seem to take an age. I’m really pleased with the way my new Music Hall page is comming along and fingers crossed my web designer should have it up by close of day Wednesday so do Keep Watching! In the mean time I’ve been out jogging quite a bit of late mainly because I haven’t had time to go down the gym. All this jogging is doing wonders for my figure and I can’t belive how much weight I’ve lost! I really enjoy keeping and being fit but then you have to be in my job! Despite everything I am still really stressed with the worry about finding a new car before I head off to Sherringham. Perhaps I shouldn’t have bought the Mink after all! I feel really at sea with the whole thing and I haven’t got a clue when it comes to cars or much time to sort something out. I need a van/car big enough to take my full rig of 6 speakers, sound system, costumes and a sound engineer. I hope something turns up soon! Must dash now I still have work to do but what I could really do with is an early night! Thanks for dropping in Toodle Pip and Bye for Now!

For those of you who have been on my Face book pages tonight you will have seen I have up loaded some of the photos from Fridays photo shoot and it’s lovely to read all your comments too so thank-you. I’m trying so hard to get my costumes photographed so I can share them with you. In time many of these photos will be used for my web-site so do keep watching and I will keep you up to date with my blog! The Burlesque version of Evette the Spivette seems to be a hit or at least my costume is but then I took my insperation from Judy Garland and her Get Happy number and what a great look that was too! Today I’ve been out and about trading and buying 1940s fashion. I took some time out to go to Ramsey and visit the 1940s fair. I had an apointment to see one of the dealers “1940’s Style for You” and I was able to trade some of my old dresses and hats for some other 1940s clothes. I had had my eye on a couple of their hats and I was really pleased I could do a bit of a swop! While I was there I also picked up a fantastic 40s suite with knock-um dead shoulders and a couple of silk Spivvey ties! Evette loves her ties and I’m looking forward to wearing them when I next play her! This evening I was over in Dunstable doing a radio interview for hospital radio and tomorrow I shall be performing a 1940s and 50s show for Biggleswade WI. I love the WI! Anyway must dash – thanks for dropping in and do check out my new photos on Facebook. Toodle Pip and Bye for Now!
