NEWS PAGE & BLOG

Hello one and all and welcome to my news page. Here you can see me as my two alter egos the ever efficient secretary Prudie Jones, Evette the Spivette and plain old little me as you catch up with all that is current in my world. Regrettably unlike Prudie my spelling is quite frightful at the best of times due to my dyslexia so I shall apologise now for anything which might be shamefully mis-spelt. In the mean time I hope you find this page fun, entertaining and informative and become a regular visitor to my site.

Horrable Hackers!

I wanted to post up a quick blog tonight to put all your minds at rest and to say I’m not in the Phillippines having been robbed at gun point acording to the e-mail so many of you were sent this morning. I’m afraid a hacker broke into my address book and I’m sorry if you recived that. As you can see I am alive and well with bussness very much as usal with a week of shows booked. Tomorrow I will be singing at a Tea Dance in Milton Keynes so still very much in the UK.
I’m afraid the hacker has changed some of my personal information and at the moment I can’t get into face-book to warn you all but my blog is still working OK. So please please please don’t send any money to these people as it is a scam!
All my pass words have been changed and we hope to get everything sorted out tomorrow although I’m still having trouble with my e-mails. If you do need to get in contact with me then please just telephone. My numbers can be found on my web-site at www.fionaharrison.biz
Thank-you for following and please let every-one know I’ve been the victim of a hacker.
Thank-you and Toodle Pip!

Racing at Brooklands!

Me about to go racing at Brooklands in 77!

I’ve been working really hard these last few weeks trying to get the year maped out that I thought I was owed a bit of time off – so today I have been at Brooklands Motor Museum. Just incase you were wondering yes I did go racing on the famouse track and Graham my driver really went for it to. I had to remove my hat! I also got to ride in the Jeep too so thank-you to every-one for being so kind and for showing me around! I didn’t like to say that only last week I was doing a driving speed awearness course for being naughty and doing 34 mph in a 30. Some things are best left unsaid I think!

Me standing with this wonderful car  – Very Steam Punk!

Tomorrow I’m back to work with a 50s and 60s show and then a Tea Dance on Wednesday so I shall be singing from the 1920s to the 1960s so very Brooklands in period!
Last night I was able to try out my new concert band parts with the South Beds concert band and what a great moment that was hearing them for the first time with the band. Bill has done me proud with the arangement and I’m looking forward to the concert in March. So I hope you can all make it along on the 13th as it will be taking place in my home town of Leighton Buzzard at All Saints Church. I’m also going to be doing a Tea Dance/ Sing along show at The Chiltern Open Air Museum, Chalfont St Giles, Bucks on Sat 23rd March from 4pm so do come if you can. I shall be singing lots of songs from the 1930s and 40s and who knows maybe some Rat Pack ones too.
Well it’s time for bed now as it’s been a full day. Thank-you for following and do keep Watching as this is the place to find out about where I’m performing!

Out and About!

Spring is in the air and I’ve been out and about this weekend meeting up with people and sorting out dates for 2013/14. So it’s just a very quick blog this morning as the sun is shining and I want to be out jogging before the weather changes and I need to get ready for a  meeting this afternoon at Russell House. So much to do.
However dispite all my dashing about I have decided to try and take a day off tomorrow and visit Brooklands motor racing museum. Brooklands is part of the background story to my character Evette the Spivette so it will be great to have a look around and get a feel for the place and it’s history.
Tonight I have a rehursal with the South Beds Concert band and Bill Pollard has just finnished doing the concert band arrangement to my War Time sing along medley so I’m looking forward to trying them out. There is alot of work in getting a full set of concert parts and although I do have parts for Big Band this is something different again as we have a different line up of instraments. I think a concert band will work better with my voice type and I hope there might be a future in me investing in more parts as I get more of my arrangements arranged for concert band. Lets see!
Well must dash as I have much to do and I want to be out jogging before I get ready for this afternoon!
Keep Watching and Toodle Pip!

Naughty Me!

For those of you who have been following my blog you will know I was a bit naughty after Christmas and I ended up being flashed in High Wycombe on my way to the recording studio. The speed camera caught me doing 34 in a 30 because I was singing and not paying the attention I should have been to the road. So I decided to take the  driving course option yesterday and very intresting it was too. I hate to say it but I think I have fallen into some rather bad habits with regards my driving and become a little slap dash –  I really enjoyed the course! It does make you think much more and today I was being really careful driving to and from my show.
It was very intresting to see all the different types of people on the course from all walks of life. We had the smart bussness woman, the cocky Jack the lad, the really old chap who loves speed, a lorry driver, the quite ones who never said a thing and the odd ball in the corner which was me. I was the only one who took her sandwiches and durring the break I sat in the corner and watched how the men all sat in their little groups and the women in theirs. It’s intresting to see how people are drawn together. It rather made me think it would make a good setting for a play. They are always the most intresting when you get people from all walks of life thrown together in one room for the first time and then the story unfolds-ofcourse there usaly has to be a murder and lots of suspence!
Today I started on Valentine shows in Hazlemere and it was nice to include a few modern love songs instead. While I was there the snow started to fall and it looked a little like Christmas. I hope it doesn’t lay as I’m in Hemel Hempsted tomorrow and then Wendover.
Well I must finish off the rest of my paper-work as I still have quite a few contracts to do.
Thanks for following and Toodle Pip!
