NEWS PAGE & BLOG

Hello one and all and welcome to my news page. Here you can see me as my two alter egos the ever efficient secretary Prudie Jones, Evette the Spivette and plain old little me as you catch up with all that is current in my world. Regrettably unlike Prudie my spelling is quite frightful at the best of times due to my dyslexia so I shall apologise now for anything which might be shamefully mis-spelt. In the mean time I hope you find this page fun, entertaining and informative and become a regular visitor to my site.

Kind Regards

Going Mezzo with a Lemonsip at The Vintage Fair!

Me with Rachel’s Preloved & Vintage at Wendover!

Once again I can’t spend too long tonight blogging due to the fact I have an early start tomorrow as I’m due to perform at The Grand Vintage Fair in St Albans. I’m on stage from 10.30am – 3.30pm singing 20 minutes on 20 minutes off all through the day. In truth I’m a little bit worried about my voice. I’ve come down with a sore throat and I’ve gone from Soprano to Mezzo in two days. Oddly enough people often say they like my voice when I have a cold as it sounds more sexy! I’m not quit sure what to make of that although I did manage to get through my Thursday show ok singing the 60s! I’ve been taking my lemonsips and it’s important I get as much rest as I can as I have a very full couple of days.

GrandVintageFlyerDon’t forget I will be singing for Oxjam on the 8th too doing a similar thing 20 mins on 20 mins off. Ordinarily it’s easy for me to do but having a sore throat doesn’t help. It’s important I get fully fit and well again. In the mean time I’ve been working hard selling dates. The Queens 90th Birthday has been a good seller for 2016 and I shall be in the studio again in a few weeks time putting some new patriotic songs into production. I don’t know why but until now I’ve never sung Rule Britaina – so it’s long over due that I include it into my repertoire. My Proms show is selling well and it will be fun to sing in the classical style again making a change from Rock and Roll which has sold well for the early part of 16.

This week I was able to catch up with David and he has finished my 1950s and 60s show reel. He e-mailed it to me but for some reason I couldn’t open it so I will have to wait until he sends me the DVD. Fiona Harrison Sings for OxjamSo not long now. I’m very pleased with what he has done so far. I will be filming again with David on the 15th May. This time we will be recording Music Hall and my 1920s and 30s songs so much to plan for!

In the mean time I will leave you with a photo of me with Rachel’s Preloved and Vintage display at Wendover Antiques Centre. I popped in after my Thursday show. Rachel will be in St Albans on Saturday with a stall and I hope you can all make it along. I will be taking my lemon sips with me and sounding like a Mezzo but you know what they say the show must go on!

Keep Watching and Toodle Pip!
