Hello one and all and welcome to my news page. Here you can see me as my two alter egos the ever efficient secretary
Prudie Jones, Evette the Spivette and plain old little me as you catch up with all that is current in my world. Regrettably
unlike Prudie my spelling is quite frightful at the best of times due to my dyslexia so I shall apologise now for anything
which might be shamefully mis-spelt. In the mean time I hope you find this page fun, entertaining and informative and become
a regular visitor to my site.
Once again by the lateness of hour you can see I’m working into the wee small hours. I confess I don’t really have that much to report this week other than it’s been more of the same with me working hard in the office to sell my dates. On the face of it, it’s easy to think that not much happens in January but far from it, as it’s a time to take stock, service equipment, put songs into production and generally plan ahead for the year.
All my hard work is starting to pay off and there seems to be much more optimism in the air. I only

have five dates left for February, I’m sold out for Easter and I now only have four dates left for December which is really encouraging. I’m looking forward to next week as I have a concert booked in for Burns Night and I’m busy going over my Scottish songs in preparation.
I’ve also been sewing this week as I’ve decided to be creative and make myself a new 1940s hat for Easter. I’m still experimenting slightly with the design as it gives me a break from the office. I’m making it to go with a new 1940s dress I’m having made and it’s been fun visiting fabric shops matching up colours. It’s easy to forget just how many years I’ve been wearing certain dresses as I do have favorites and it’s important to rotate them. It’s not until old memories get re-posted on
A Hat in Progress with my Fabric Samples!
Facebook that you start to realize just how long I’ve been wearing particular dresses.
Last Saturday I was in the recording studio with Richard and I’ve put into production a number of new songs and medleys. My existing 1920s Baby medley is so old now I felt it was long over due for a re-vamp. It’s a great little medley and sits so well in my 1920s & 30s act and includes lots of favorites. “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love -Baby, “Yes Sir That’s My Baby” and finishes with “Baby Face”. It never fails and I’m looking forward to getting a bright new musical arrangement of it to use later this year. I’ve also commissioned a “Marry Poppins” medley which is so very me and “The Girl in the Little Green Hat” which with any luck I will get in time for Easter.
I’m also pressing on with a number of new Flicker book videos and show-reels which I hope to share with you all over the course of this year. In the mean time I shall leave you with my “Loch Lomond” show-reel which ties in nicely with the 25th January and Burns Night.
Thank-you for Watching Toodle Pip and Bye for Now! 😉
