Hello one and all apart from my jog this morning I’ve been at my desk most of the day catching up with e-mails and paper work. This evening I’m looking forward to having some rehursal time as I go over many of my songs and sort out costumes for Saturday and Sunday.
This weekend is going to be a busy one as I start my season. This weekend I’m booked to do WAAF, Glamour, Music Hall and Cabaret shows in Stratford Upon Avon and at the Newark Show grown so a real mixture of music and costumes. I shall also be using my new power amp so lots to sort out.
In the mean time I hope you have been enjoying my blogs. Sadly I wont be posting this weekend as I shall be on the road but I should be back at my desk Monday morning but I will be in the recording studio come the evening. Bye for now and do keep droping in to read about my news! ;->

Not all of you will be awear that I’m a Diabetic. I’ve been one since I was 13 and I inject four times a day. I’ve been so busy of late with so much running through my head – that last night I gave myself the wrong insolin. Silly really I wasn’t paying attention as I was running through a new song in my head at the time. This morning I woke up at 3.30am in a cold swet but I always have sugar with me or in this case I ate my way through 5 Kit Kat bars. It was a really bad hypo because the insolin I had given myself was the fast acting one not the long one which stretches over 24 hours so this insolin set to work on my bodies sugars leaving me with none hence the hypo! Luckly for me I was able to raise my brother and he was able to get me some Lucozade which I really needed – when you have a hypo you become as week as a kitten and I curtainly wouldn’t have had the strengh to have got down stairs or open the bottle! Afterwards I was freezing so I put my electric blanket on until I got my body back into balance and got warm again. My night dress was wet through and my hair was wet where it had stuck to my body! Once I had come round I was able to give myself the right insolin.
When I got up this morning my sugar levals were a little high which you might expect but today I have put everything back into balance. I started out by having a really good work out at the gym and a very large bowl of poriage. I’m back on track now but last night was a bit of a close thing just as well I always have sugar close to hand but even so I needed more. If I hadn’t of had the sugar I would have slipped into a comma -but belive me it’s not like the way they show it it films the body has a way of fighting back which is why I woke up.
Lesson learnt! – Next time pay attention and stop singing to your-self when you are giving your-self an injection!

Just a quick blog today it’s the 1st of May and I’ve been dashing about getting everything ready for the start of the season. I was down in the recording studio today putting a couple of songs into prodution ready for the Evette the Spivette launch on the 19th. I can’t belive it’s the 1st today and I’ve so much to do. This month is going to wiz by with the run up to the Diamond Jubilee and then I’m straight out to France for D-Day.
I also picked up my new flight case today for my power amp and very smart it looks too I must say!
Towmorrow I’m in the printers as I’m in need of some new CD inserts so it’s all happening and dash dash dash!
Toodle Pip for Now! ;->

Hello every one I’ve just got some of my photos through from the shoot I did the other day. Here you can see 3 photos one of me in my very practical 1940s tweed suite compleate with cravat and waist-coat and the other two are of me in my favourite green 1940s suite accessorised with yellow roses and fur. Both phots were taken at Pitstone musuem so thank-you to Joe for letting us shoot there. I made the green hat myself which has been sewn from 1930s millinary velvet bought in Hastings Old Town. The petersham trimming I picked up at Hammersmith Vintage Fashion fair and origanaly came from France.
The green suite I bought from “Vintage and Rivival” at Stoke Bruerne last October and the tweed one I bought last year at The 40s Family Experience Weekend in Bushey. The beret was agift from my dear friend Mamie.
