Gosh I know it’s late but I’ve just this moment walked through the door after a very busy and productive weekend in East Sussex. Friday I was in Hastings visiting my friend Ann who knits all my 1940s jumpers and yes I treated myself to a beautiful green and brown one with a ribbed bow at the neck – 1939 patern. Needless to say I’ve orded 2 more jumpers and a berret to match as I wear Ann’s jumpers all the time – they’re great!
This weekend I have been singing in Tenterden at the Station for an Edwardian event and what a great event it was too. I had the pleasure of working with “The Queen’s Own” Royal West Kent Regiment Living History Group and what a wonderful group of people they were too. It was the first year this event had run and I hope the railway run it again as it takes time for events to grow and I think this one will! All my shows were very well recived particuly as I sang quite a bit of Opera mixed in with Music Hall -which seemed to go down very well indeed! What I didn’t relise at the time when I designed my dress was that “The Queen’s Own” colours are light and dark blue so I was spot on with my dress. Lots of photos were taken so I hope people have posted up onto my facebook pages so do keep watching as I haven’t had a chance to look yet!
Today I’ve been working with the fantastic photographer Lewis Brockway. Lewis took all my bathing beauty shots and while I was down in Sussex it made sence to try and get some more of my costumes photographed. So today we did Pearly Queen, 20s, 30s and glamour 40s so I’m looking forward to seeing the photos when they come through!
Gosh I’m really tied and I must get to bed as I have a busy week ahead with “Stars and Stripes” shows tomorrow and Wednesday and then I can’t remember after that with-out looking in my diary!
Toodle Pip and bye for now!

Well I’m almost packed for this weekend down at the Kent and East Sussex railway and tomorrow I head off to Hastings on the way. I have an apointment with a lady who does 1940s knit wear and I wish to order a few new jumpers for the Autumme. This is me in the first 40s jumper I bought from Ann about 12 years ago and I wear her jumpers all the time. When I’m not doing shows I’m usaly just dashing to the gym so my every day look is a 40s knit.
This weekend I’m going all Edwardian and tonight I have just been typing up my play lists and sorting out costumes as I have 3 x 45 min shows daily so I hope you can make it along. I’m still waiting for show times but I shall be on stage from 11am so do pop along to the railway for what promises to be a great Edwardian event -one of many more I hope!
Today I have been with my web-designer talking about my web-site and plans for the future. For those of you who have been following my blogs you will know I’ve been doing alot of photo shoots of late – the photos of which will be added to my web-site in time as we build in new pages. First we have lots of up dates to make so do keep watching. Must dash and don’t forget you can see me this weekend at Tenterden Station! Bye for Now!

Hello every-one sorry I’ve not bloged for a few days but I’ve been really busy one way and another and I had much to sort out after performing at Camp Ashdown. I’ve been singing today over in Oxfordshire with a “Song for Summer” and I’m now getting ready for the weekend where I go all Edwardian at The Kent and East Sussex railway – so lots of costumes to sort out!
In truth this week I have been a bit up and down with my diabeaties mainly because I have been working so hard and I haven’t had enough time for my body to catch up. What I need more than anything is a bit more sleep and as a result I’ve been very emoshonal which is really anoying! Things which seem so important at the time are really nothing in the cold light of day but I think alot has to do with this insolin I’m on. It seems to make me very highly stung and having an artistic temprament doesn’t help either. Sadly there isn’t anything I can do about it as the old insolin I was on is now not available. I’ve been a diabetic since I was 13 but things don’t seem quite right and I seem to be effected with moments of great sadness. I hope all will come right in time but it’s very difficult always tring to be professional and smiling, performing to the best of my ability when I’m crying inside. Still the show must go on and I have never let an audience down. Performing is second nature and when I am on stage all is well!
I’m really looking forward to this weekend and I hope you can join me at Tenterden station. I will be performing 3 x 45 min shows daily and my shows will include Music Hall songs and opera so I look forward to seeing you there! Keep Watching!

Hello every-one I’m just back from performing at WW2 Camp Ashdown – what a weekend! All my shows went really well although the rain came in on Saturday night so by Sunday the feild had turned to mud. Never the less it didn’t dampen anyones spirits and a good time was had by all. I opened with my ATS show on the Saturday and wore my trousers and trilby for the evening Lindy Hop Sing-along show. It was too muddy to wear anything eles really! This look does seem to be something of a hit although alot of people confusse me as Evette the Spivette but for that act I always wear a skirt and carry my speical Evette the Spivette case! Today I was in my US WAVES costume as pictured for “Anchors Aweigh” and then I finnished off with an American Glamour set despite the mud! It was great to be working with DJ Woody and the lovely Kitten Von Mew – newly married to Richard and looking especialy radent!
We’ll I’m not really all that long back and rather tied if truth be told. Last night I was staying at the Premere Inn only the fire alam went off at 3am and we all had to evacuate the building. It may be me but it’s amazing just how many people go away with-out a dressing gown these days and quite a few of the chaps came down almost dress which sergests they didn’t bring PJs umm! Despite this I did rather fall in love with the hotels pumming and managed to squeez in 3 long hot baths much to the envy of every-one camping at Ashdown. This week I only have one show which will give me a little time to catch up with things and then I’m away again Friday performing at the Kent and East Sussex Railway’s Edwardian event so busy busy!
