Today I was back in the gym having a really good work out as I love to exersise but my word don’t you see some sights! What is it about white young men in the gym they seem to go out of their way to look a fright. Baggy T-Shirts, ill fitting chopped off jogging bottoms which I think were surposed to be shorts – rather low slung and in this case when the chap bent over we saw the most shocking pair of pink underpants! I guess they must have been a present! I didn’t know where to look!
Then by contrast we see the most beautiful black man ever – perfectly formed and corectly turned out in more ways than one! I hope that other man was taking notes quite frankly If I had been on reception I would have sent him home to change! Really!
Well apart from being shocked by bad turn out at the gym I was out today buying new speaker stands as my knobs keep breaking and falling off. With 200 shows a year + my stands are up and down all the time and the screws get very worn so it was time for a new pair. Can you belive this though I had my car valeted while I was at the gym as we have a car wash place just behind. I loaded all my equipment back into the car and drove to Dunstable which is about 20mins away. Quite unawear I had forgotten to shut the boot. With it being such a hot day I never even noticed and just thought the chap had made a really good job of cleaning my windows. The fact I could no longer see the rear windscreen wiper or break light in the midle never even dawned on me. It wasn’t until I parked up at Dunstable that I even noticed! What am I like!
I have an apointment tonight to see my dress maker as I have lots of dresses with her at the mo all being altered. Thanks for dropping in and do Keep Watching Bye for Now!

I’ve had a really wonderful day today, well great weekend all round now I come to think of it. Yesterday I was performing for the Bugatti Club and my show couldn’t have gone any better. They were so pleased with me they have booked me back for next year so I’m looking forward to performing for them already. I was also working with a grate sound engineer Dave Mann who really did me proud so thank-you Dave fantastic job!
Today I took a day off which is almost unheared of for me and visited Mapledurham House near Reading. I played there for the Jubilee but never got the chance to look around so today was that day! Mapledurham is a Red brick Tudor property dating from about 1588 – 1609 so it makes for the perfect setting for Evette the Spivette’s ancestral home. I’m hoping to do some shows there next year and maybe – fingers crossed a photo shoot as I work more on Evette the Spivette or should I say Lady Evette Ursal Russell’s world! I have lots of plans for next year and as you know I’ve been working really hard on getting all my photos done this year. So many costumes! Well I have a shoot booked for October as I go all 18th centry which reminds me my dress, corset and paners are at the bottom of a very large trunk with 12 hat boxes on top so lots to sort out.
Well that’s about it from me tonight only I wore my pink ginham outfit today as pictured. It was such a sunny day so I thought why not and deare I say it I felt really pritty! I wore my hair long too which I don’t often do and had a pink flower in my hair so very Summery!

I’ve had a really wonderful day today, well great weekend all round now I come to think of it. Yesterday I was performing for the Bugatti Club and my show couldn’t have gone any better. Well acording to the weather man we are all set for a heat wave this weekend well Sunday at least so here I am in my tropical gear!
Gosh what have I been up to today well working at the computer now I come to mention it trying to get everything sorted before the weekend. I have been going through film footage of my time in France but to be honest I hate seeing films of myself and I can’t stand hearing myself sing either – to me it’s agany but has to be done! Well at least I’ve got that out the way thank goodness but I was able to go for a really nice run this morning. Wonderful! I also walked into town this afternoon just to get some air and I came home along the canal just for a change which was lovely. Everywhere is so green and there were no shortage of barges moored up all beautifuly painted. I think Leighton Buzzard is getting ready for it’s Canal Festival this weekend. Is it this weekend yes I think it might be – I will have to check!
Well tomorrow I shall be entertaining The Bugatti Club not far from Cheltenham so I’m looking forward to doing that. They have booked me to do a WAAF and 1940s glamour show so I shall be having my nails done tomorrow morning before I go. Then Sunday I don’t know it rather depends on how I feel but I would rather like to visit Mapledurham House. I played there as part of the Jubilee but I never really got the chance to look around and I think it would make the perfect setting for Evette the Spivette’s ancestral home. So all being well I hope I can make it along.

Hello everyone – for those of you who have been following my blog you will know this last week or so I’ve been working really hard on my designs for the new pages and up-dates for the web-site. I didn’t get to bed last night until 3am I was so engrosed!

I’m also having quite a few changes to my 1940s page made as it seems my new character “Evette the Spivette” is atracting alot of intrest and with 10 1940s non repetative shows now in my repotiore I can offer so much more than anyone eles. Times are hard – and I work out to be better value for money in the long run but then I have 20 years of showbiz exsperance under my belt working as a professional. In my time I’ve done it all from Shakespeare to Panto from Opera to Rock and Roll! Not every-one whos this but I atchaly got my equity card not as a singer but as a stand-up comic performing in the Joyce Grenfel style. Needless to say there is quite alot of Joyce in Evette!
Well must dash lots to do tonight as I have quite a bit of film footage to go through from my time in France.
