Today has been one of those bitterly cold days where it doesn’t seem to matter just how many layers one puts on one’s still cold. Today I have been out and about keeping apointments with the Doctor and optician when really wishing I was wraped up warmly at home by the fire. Still these things have to be done and now I’m looking forward to singing with the South Beds Concert band on Wednesday. Rehursals went really well on Sunday as I sung through my “War Time Sing along Medley” with the band. I’m also performing two original Vera Lynn arrangements to “The White Cliffs of Dover” and “We’ll Meet Again” so they should go down well! I’ve also been asked to sing two numbers with backing tracks to give the band a rest so I’ve decided to do “The Flower Duet from Lakme'” and my “South Pacific Medley”. The band have chosen some great peices too and they will be playing that Redemption peice at the end which I just love!
I hope you can all make it along this Wednesday as the concert is part of the Oxjam Music festival taking place here in my home town of Leighton Buzzard. All the proceeds will be shared between Oxfam and the All Saints Preservation Trust so two great charities.
Thanks for following see you on the 13th and Toodle Pip for now!
