NEWS PAGE & BLOG

Hello one and all and welcome to my news page. Here you can see me as my two alter egos the ever efficient secretary Prudie Jones, Evette the Spivette and plain old little me as you catch up with all that is current in my world. Regrettably unlike Prudie my spelling is quite frightful at the best of times due to my dyslexia so I shall apologise now for anything which might be shamefully mis-spelt. In the mean time I hope you find this page fun, entertaining and informative and become a regular visitor to my site.

Kind Regards

Take Me Out, Articles and a Silent Night!

What an extraordinary week it’s been this week with me receiving a call for a chance to take part in a TV show called “Take me Out”. Many of you may have seen the TV show as it is a modern take on Blind Date. Oddly enough a TV show I was on back in the early 90s with Cilla Black. But if I’m honest when I was contacted by the Take me Out team I had never seen the show. I’m always out working Saturday nights singing and when it comes to I player I have so little spear time that if I watch anything at all it’s usually a costume drama like Downton!
I was first contacted by Take me Out back in September who asked me along to an audition in Birmingham. To be honest I was so different to all the other girls in the room I never expected to hear any more only they kept sending me e-mails and then to my surprise I got the call to go to the studio. Mind you not that I was there very long as it was decided I stood out far too much from the line up and it was suggested I might be a bit too bright!
Mmmm How little the world changes when it comes to the role of women in popular TV shows and what a shame TV has to play into the hands of stereotypes. What I can’t understand is how I got that far in the first place when it was they who contacted me and it was clear from the out set I was always going to be different! Unless of course it was the host Paddy who thought I might have been too much of a handful – we will never know!
Mind you most men find me very scary so it’s probably just as well I have my singing to keep me out of trouble!
Back to reality and this next month is going to be non stop with 43 shows in the diary with the Christmas season. I’m really pleased to announce I’ve just launched my new Christmas video “Silent Night”. Something really special for Christmas and my favourite carol too so do take a look. I will try and attach it to this blog but if I can’t get it to work you can always watch my video by clicking onto my web-site and clicking the You Tube button in the top left corner. It’s the first video you come to.www.fionaharrison.biz
As so many of you already know who follow my blog I’m going mobile next year with my web-site and as you can imagine it’s a very big out lay but it will be worth it in the end. There are lots of new pages I want to add to my sight but it’s important we get the technology it up to date before we go any further so watch this space and I shall keep you posted. In the mean time Rachel has just completed my Articles page where you can find all my Fashion features in one place. I’m very proud of this page mainly because I find writing very difficult being dyslexic and I get a great sense of achievement because it is so hard for me. If you want to get good at something you have to really work hard at it and I think I am getting better!
Tomorrow I must go over all my Christmas songs and get ready for my first Christmas show on Sunday. Well that’s all my news for now Keep Watching Thanks for Following and Toodle Pip!
