NEWS PAGE & BLOG

Hello one and all and welcome to my news page. Here you can see me as my two alter egos the ever efficient secretary Prudie Jones, Evette the Spivette and plain old little me as you catch up with all that is current in my world. Regrettably unlike Prudie my spelling is quite frightful at the best of times due to my dyslexia so I shall apologise now for anything which might be shamefully mis-spelt. In the mean time I hope you find this page fun, entertaining and informative and become a regular visitor to my site.

Kind Regards

Fiona’s World!

Sorry I’m a bit behind with my blog I should have posted last night but couldn’t get in. At first I thought I had been targated by the hackers again but as it turned out it was just me being thick as I was typing in the wrong pass word. It was late and sometimes I can’t always see the wood for the trees but all is well now as I breath a sigh of releaf and think on-wards and up-wards and get on with my world.
Once again it’s been a busy week with shows every day and tomorrow I’m doing a “Hooray for Hollywood” show in High Wycombe. Most of this week I have been singing the 1950s and 60s along with the 20s and 30s. Today I was booked to sing at a fabulous 1920s/30s tea party where all the staff were dressed up as Miss Nippys. As my back drop they had the Fred and Ginger film “Top Hat” playing as I sung in front of the screen. I confess I kept taking crafty looks over my shoulder as I’m a big Fred and Ginger fan and for those of you who know your films you will know this is the film where Ginger dances “Cheek to Cheek” in that dress! The one with all the feathers! The one Fred hated as they kept going up his nose! Wow what a wonderful rutine that was. When I dance I always imagine myself to be Ginger Rodgers dancing with Fred Astaire. I’m such a romantic!
Dispite being on the road a fair bit this week I met up with my web designer Rachel and we spent some time going through my Google Analytics. So a big Hello to all my international followers and it’s great to know you are able to translate my blogs into your own languges. Please forgive my bad spelling as I’m sure some of the translations must be very entertaining to read. I now have a following in Russia and China, lots of you in France and the US, Netherlands and much of Europe so do keep following my world as it’s lovely to share it with you all. Don’t forget you can always place a comment on my blog and facebook pages as I would love to hear from you. You can also click onto my you tube channel from my web-site and view some of my videos from there so do take a look www.fionaharrison.biz
A little closer to home I hope you will be able to catch my next public performance. I will be singing in my home town of Leighton Buzzard at All Saints Church on Wednesday the 13th March at 8pm with The South Beds Concert Band. They are about 20/30 strong and it will be wonderful to be singing with them. Bill Pollard has arranged my “War time Sing along medley” for concert band which I think will work with my voice better being a soprano. I did have band parts for Big Band but this will be a better ballance as we have Piccolos, Flutes, Oboes everything but the strings really. I’m also singing 2 Vera Lynn numbers “The White Cliffs of Dover” and “We’ll Meet Again” plus some oprea so do come if you can. Tickets on the door at £6 and £8.
We’ll I think I might give myself a night off tonight and watch a film or something. Thank-you for following. See you on the 13th Toodle Pip and Bye for Now!
