Monday saw the last eposide of Dancing on the Edge and wasn’t it gripping too. I can’t tell you just how much I’ve been enjoying it. The way the friends slip away and change their point of view towards the band was wonderfuly portrayed over Lavina’s tea party. But how they also relise all is not as it should be and start to pull together to help Louis escape from the police with Pamla saving the day – I just thought was fanstastic! I’m really going to miss the series now it’s finnished but at least I can enjoy the CD and do – as I’ve been playing it non stop while driving to my shows.
If you have been following my blogs you will know I’ve been out and about a fair bit these last few weeks and yesterday I was singing at Russell House for a dinner party. Dispite the cold weather I was singing out-side by a beautiful 1947 car called Henretta. I spent ages trying to choose the right out fit to wear and in the end it was a case of going with the mink, only because it was too cold to wear anything eles. I was asked to sing by a lovely gentleman Peter Pickering who all this week has been taking part in the TV program “Come Dine with Me”. From what I saw I think his dinner party went really well and all the guests seemed to be having a fantastic time although me being me I wish I had sung better but after a while the cold really starts to bite. The sound man liked the fact I wore my mink as it has an inside pocket which was the perfect place to hide the mike pack. The last time I wore one of those they had to tuck it in my knickers!
I was lucky to have my friend Kim with me last night who did sound and also did an amazing job on my hair so Thank-you so much Kim it was great to have you there!
I always worry about doing those sorts of shows because I’m really un lucky and things have a habit of going wrong for me. I usaly end-up looking a bit silly as I always seem to try too hard and you never know how you are going to be edited. I’m a little woried about the lighting as I had this lovely make-up base on but when we came to film they brought in these big white lights which I think may well have bleached out my skin. If that is the case my blusher will seem out of balance and I may well end up looking more like Coco the clown so I’m praying everything will be alright. The original plan was for me to wear my Kingfisher satin and lace evening coat over my black dress so that would have been a good strong colour against my skin – Then at the very last minute we went with the white mink. So belive me I am praying all will be well!
Tomorrow I have another “We’ll Meet Again” show and then I’m catching up with paper work this weekend.
Time for bed I think thanks for following and Toodle Pip for Now!
