I’m pleased to say I’m now in full swing for Christmas and doing my best to look glamorous as I dash from show to show. I have a very full weekend planned and on Sunday I will be playing in Essex in the village of Saffon Walden so looking forward to that one very much.
Today I was singing in my home town of Leighton Buzzard and I spent the morning in the hair dresses. I also took Connie in for a service as just like me she has alot of work to do over the next few weeks and it’s important we are both tip top!
I’m not long back from dinner as my actress friend Betty Page invited me out this evening with her daughter Lynda and friend Chris so it’s been a really lovely evening catching up and having a good old girly natter.
I met Betty back in 1989 when we worked together in the musical Annie. She played Miss Hannigan and I was cast as Grace Farrell – Warbucks secretary. 89 was a fantastic year and we both have some great memories of that time so it wont come as any surprise to learn we have been friends ever since. I get on very well with Betty’s daughter Lynda too. She is ex Royal Ballet so we have alot in common as I inisaly trained in dance and always loved Ballet best! Tonight we were served by a very dishy waiter called Mat. Lovely biceps and pecks – very yummy and the meal was excellent too so I think we can say we all had a jolly lovely time!
