Billed as the 20th centuries greatest musical, My Fair Lady is based on the Edwardian play Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw and is set in 1913.

It was adapted in 1956 by Alan Jay Lerner with music by Frederick Loewe and tells the story of a common flower girl by the name of Eliza Doolittle who is taken up by Professor Higgins, a professor of speech and taught to speak beautifully until he can pass her off as a Duchess at the Embassy Ball.

The show is famous for it’s wealth of memorable songs which include “Wouldn’t it be Lovely”, “I’m an Ordinary Man”, “On the Street Where You Live”, “I’m getting Married in the Morning” and “I Could Have Danced all Night” to name but a few, which Fiona performs seamlessly.

Designed to be staged as an after dinner theatre experience or in conjunction with a high tea, this show is ideally suited to country house settings and special events which require a theatrical alternative to the usual after dinner speaker.

A must see for all musical fans, Fiona is captivating as the “confirmed old bachelor Higgins” and plucky Miss Doolittle!

When booking it’s important to note this show is a theatre experience and it is designed to be played either before or after food is served so as not to distract from the performance and story line.

Staging involves a small sound system, table, a radio microphone, stand, hat stand, chair and pull up banner which features all the characters.
