If you have seen the weather forcast for this weekend you will know we are in for some dreadful weather but the show must go on. Tomorrow I’m booked to sing for a Tea Dance at The Chiltern Open Air Musueum in Chalfont St Giles and I have a nasty feeling it might well be a cold one. So I will be wraping up warmly with wooly vest at the ready and posibly the mink. To be honest what I had planed to wear now seems quite unsuitable and I’m still very undecided but I’m sure all will come together come the morning. I will be on stage at 4pm – 5pm and 5.30pm – 6.30pm so do join us as it will be wonderful to see you there.
Today I have been trying to tie up all those loose ends and pay a few bills. One thing I managed to get sorted was my passport. Haven’t those ten years flown by but what a palava when it comes to photos. You can’t wear a hat, you musn’t smile and your head has to be in the box – talk about make life difficult. I went to the post office and I had to go through the ordeal of removing my hair rose as someone was likely to mistake it for a hat – really! Wind up the little stool in the photo booth, get myself comfortable, put my head in the square, touch the screen and sure enough it refused to work! When it comes to touch screens they never work for me and I have problems with my ipad misbehaving all the time. The anoying thing is Tigger can make it work with his paws but I can’t with my fingers. I’m the same in supermarkets I never like to go to those help your self tills because I always mess them up and someone always has to come over to sort me out! I much prefer service and I enjoy being served!
After someone came over to help me in the post office I went away with the most frightful photos ever! Despite having my head in the box it cut off my curls which acording to the passport booklet might be a rejctable afence – but it seemed all was ok and I think by the end the staff were just plesed to see me leave! Those booths just seem to be set to make you look as dreadful as posible and it’s difficult not to smile when you have been trained to do just that. I went for the Mona Lisa look – well that was the idar only it didn’t quite work so I’m blaming it on the booth!
I must sign off now as I still need to sort out an outfit for tomorrow Toodle Pip and thanks for following!
