NEWS PAGE & BLOG

Hello one and all and welcome to my news page. Here you can see me as my two alter egos the ever efficient secretary Prudie Jones, Evette the Spivette and plain old little me as you catch up with all that is current in my world. Regrettably unlike Prudie my spelling is quite frightful at the best of times due to my dyslexia so I shall apologise now for anything which might be shamefully mis-spelt. In the mean time I hope you find this page fun, entertaining and informative and become a regular visitor to my site.

Kind Regards

A Busy Few Days!

I’m going to have to start by saying I’m somewhat in morning. As many of you know I’ve been very busy the last few days with radio interviews and yesterday I was singing at Didcot’s Vintage Christmas fair only to find my favourite and most comfortable pair of 1940s shoes had snaped on one of the lace holes! Shock horror! It’s one of those things you just can’t repair and looking at the picure you can see why I’m so sorry to see these shoes go. When it comes to finding a replacement navy pair I shall have to make do with Clarks as I remember seeing something which might work  – but I’m really up set as I loved these shoes so much and when there gone there gone!
A big thank-you to Harry and Edna for inviting me onto their radio program on Wednesday. They very kindly sent me an MP3 link. Which at the time I couldn’t get to work but all you clver people out there probably can so here goes and fingers crossed let me know how you get on!

You can hear me singing Mr Sandman (Yes it is me doing all 3 parts), J’ Attendrai (The French one) The White Cliffs of Dover (Jive Version) and the ever so slightly naughty one Let’s Do it Lets Fall in Love. Enjoy!
I should also like to thank Gill and Jeanette for inviting me to sing at Didcot’s Vintage Christmas fair yesterday and also to my friend Richard for helping me. Just as I thought it did turn into a bit of a chilly one and just incase you were wondering I did go with the mink in the end! Well if you can’t wear a 1940/50s mink for an outdoor Vintage Christmas Show when can you! I have to say I felt very glamorous and that coat does have a wonderful swing to it. Very Evita!
They had some wonderful atractions at the fair from living staues to stilt walking angles but my favourite were the grannies on the motorised shopping trollies Richard and I both thought they were fantastic! Thank-you to Dan from Origin Technical who did my sound. It’s not easy in the cold when your fingers start to freeze so well done! Quite how the Glam Rock band managed I’ll never know. I wore a 1950s suit with extra lycra and silk under garments for warmth with a fur coat and I was fine. But the lady in the Lycra flaired catsuit should have got a medal. Quite how she was able to sing and not let her teeth chatter is anyones guess! Wow well done you!
This Saturday I’m heading off to the Chaps Ball so I’m looking forward to that very much as I have lots of friends I wish to catch up with!
We’ll that’s about it from me for tonight thanks for following and I start my “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree” shows on Monday so straight through to the 31st.
Toodle Pip and Bye for Now!
